Marshall Office of the Silesian Voivodeship the organizational unit through which the task of the Silesian Voivodeship Self-government is carried out. The Silesian Voivodeship Self-government runs the voivodeship development policy, which consists e.g. of creating conditions for economic development, including the creation of the labor market, as well as supporting the development of science and cooperation between science and economy, supporting technological progress and innovations. Silesian Voivodeship is inhabited by 4.5 million people, which constitutes 12% of the country’s population. It is the second economically strongest region of Poland (12% of the domestic GDP) and the region exporting the biggest amount of goods in Poland. Silesia is one of the most attractive regions in Poland in terms of investment. In this respect, it is also among the global leaders, which is proven by its place in the investment attractiveness rankings.
