About the academic path
About the academic path
In 2025, the AIBA Conference expanded with the launch of a dedicated Academic Path – a new stage designed to bridge the gap between groundbreaking AI research and real-world business applications. In 2026, we are inviting leading researchers, university professors, and emerging scholars one more time to examine how AI augments human cognition, decision-making, and organizational performance when embedded in appropriate social, ethical, and institutional contexts. By challenging assumptions and focusing on measurable impact, this path will provide evidence-based insights that help organizations avoid hype-driven decisions and adopt AI responsibly and effectively.

About the publication in 2026
An additional component of the Academic stage would be an international, multidisciplinary book that explores how scientific research and business innovations intersect to address the complex challenges of today!
This forward-thinking publication will critically examine how AI is implemented in organizations and why outcomes differ so widely — from high-profile failures to effective, responsible deployments. Contributions should focus on the organizational, managerial, technological, and governance conditions that shape implementation success and failure, including the ways AI can augment (rather than replace) human work, decision-making, and capabilities.
This publication will be designed for readers who want to move beyond the AI media buzz and focus on practical, human-centered adoption. Suggested areas and themes include (but are not limited to):
- AI implementation failures: causes, patterns, and lessons learned
- Good practices in implementation: governance, change management, and adoption
- Human-centered AI and augmentation of work and decision-making
- Organizational readiness: culture, skills, leadership, and capability building
- Data quality, data governance, and operationalization challenges
- Accountability, risk management, compliance, and ethical governance
- Over-automation, bias, transparency, trust, and explainability in practice
- Measuring impact: performance, resilience, sustainability, and societal effects
- Industry cases and cross-sector comparisons (public/private; SMEs/large firms)
- Future directions: evolving expectations, regulation, and Industry 6.0 perspectives
